The parish of Hatherton and Walgherton supports various charities. Regular support is given to Wybunbury United Charities (England and Wales: 227387) in respect of aid to residents in the Wybunbury ecclesiastical parish. The official description is for "The alleviation of poverty to certain proscribed groups within defined parishes within the bounds of Cheshire East Council formerly known as the Borough of Crewe and Nantwich ".
